A Swedish-based singer and pianist with one foot in the past and one in the present.
26 year old Linus’s interest in classic rock 'n' roll and rockabilly developed early in his life. At the age of ten when he first heard Chuck Berry's ”Roll Over Beethoven”, he knew what it was all about - ROCK 'N' ROLL! Around the same time his discovery of Jerry Lee Lewis made the decision easy that the piano would become the main instrument, even though he also plays other instruments such as guitar, bass and drums. During his late teens he developed his unique voice and singing style that together with his piano playing has evolved to the artist ”Linus Zander”.
2019 Linus and his band The West Coast Boys participated in The Swedish Country Music Championship where they won in the rockabilly category. The same year he released his first Ep "Standing By Myself". In 2020 Linus signed a digital distribution deal with Atenzia Records which resulted in his release of the debut album "Linus Zander”.
Linus and his father Niclas, who writes the lyrics to the songs, continuously release almost one song a month, which means that Linus always stays up to date.
During the fall of 2023, Linus is releasing his second album ”Old Dream Coming True”.
The album consists of a collection of 15 existing self-written songs that have been released during the years after the debut album as well as the brand new song and title track "Old Dream Coming True" where you as a listener get to hear Linus' interpretation of rockabilly and rock ́n ́roll music.
"The idea behind the album is that you should get to take part of all the ingredients that have shaped the artist that I am today" - Linus Zander
